MATCH PREVIEW

THE RECENT PAST
Jonathon Power is the 1999 British Open Champion and has won three PSA event in a row. David Evans is the 2000 British Open Champion and is anxious to show that win wasn't a fluke...

CONTRAST IN STYLES
David Evan's play is dominated by his height ... in that he makes excellent use of his height and reach to maximize his ability to volley the ball and reach into the front of the court.

Power, by contrast, seems to excel in playing with players of Evans ilk, as Power knows instictively where to move the ball to cause maximum twisting and turning for the tall players such as Evans, Palmer, and Heath.

Of their last meeting, at the US Open, Evans said "I lost to Power in the US Open 3/0 but it was close. I' ve got to try and frustrate him at the front of the court where he is so good,"

But Power is riding a confidence train, and with Power, on the margin, his confidence is everything.
